Carly Flemming

Carly started with the UIC in 2023 after being introduced to UIMPROVE working in local government by a former boss. When a position became available to join the UIC team and apply UIMPROVE in organisations committed to great work, she couldn't resist.

Prior to this she worked in a range of sectors and roles that were contributing to healthier people and places. This included public health nutrition, public infrastructure, community engagement and environmental sustainability. She has been lucky enough to live through the good, the bad and the non-existence of organisations pursuing improvement. Once she discovered UIMPROVE, she never looked back.

Carly lives on Gumbaynggirr Country on the NSW Mid North Coast. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with loved ones, playing outdoors away from devices and volunteering with local community groups committed to making the area as healthy as can be.
