City South Manchester Housing Trust

City South Manchester is a young organisation which was formed in June 2008 to manage and improve 4500 properties whose ownership was transferred from Manchester City Council.

Soon after transfer, Dave Power - City South's Chief Executive - invited us to work with the organisation, initially carrying out a Staff Survey using our Noriaki software. The results of the survey highlighted areas of the business that needed improving and as a result, Dave asked us to run our Strategic Improvement Programme for his management team. This allowed them the valuable opportunity to work together as a team and establish norms for leading this new organisation. Each module of the programme has been a fusion of training and real work, allowing the team to use their time together to progress of a number of key organisational priorities as well as set the blueprint for their managerial processes.

Out of the Strategic Improvement Programme came the decision to train 12 Facilitators who would be able to support managers in their key projects. Already, the Facilitators have proved an invaluable resource for the organisation and in May 2009 Dave kindly agreed to be the first of our Keynote Speakers at the 3rd Annual UIMPROVE Facilitators Conference to talk about how they fit into City South's plans for the future.
